Inside a House That Is Haunted

Inside a House That Is Haunted by Alyssa Satin Capucilli, Illustrated by Tedd Arnold
This book is very entertaining, it is a hollowed book and can be read out loud to a class of kindergarteners to second graders. This book can be used to teach sequencing as well as spark the creative imgaination of students. The book starts off with a knock at the door, from the image it seems as if its a monster because of the green hand. The knock on the door creates a chain of events. first a spider gets startled and drops to the floor, that woke up a ghost which surprised the cat then the bats were startled which jolted the owl which then spoke a mummy and rattled a skeleton in which finally woke up a big green monster. The knock on the door was from a trick or treater dressed up as the big green monster who lived in the house. When the boy takes of the green mask all the monsters inside become scared and run away ironically. This short but entertaining book was a good read and is highly suggested to read to students during the week of halloween. The cartoonish illustrations are detailed and very colorful which grab the readers attention.
